This toasted sandwich is full of tuna, mayonnaise, spring onion and two cheeses, brushed with homemade garlic butter to add extra flavour. A delicious and easy lunch, air fried until golden brown and gooey in just 5 minutes.
Serves 2
Ingredients
4 slices of fresh tiger or sourdough bread
1 tin of tuna, drained
3 tbsp of mayonnaise
2 spring onions, finely chopped
Pinch of smoked paprika
Pinch of sea salt and cracked black pepper
50g mature cheddar, grated
1 ball of fresh mozzarella
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
Method
Combine the melted butter, fresh parsley and minced garlic into a ramekin and using a basting brunch, coat the outside of each slice of bread
In a bowl add the tuna, spring onion, mayonnaise, smoked paprika, salt and pepper and mix until combined
Add half of the tuna mixture into each sandwich and spread
Top with the grated cheese and mozzarella and air fry for 5 minutes on 200 degrees
