Delicious honeycomb spiced with ginger and cinnamon and coated in dark chocolate. A festive sweet treat which can be enjoyed yourself or gift wrapped for an easy present.
Ingredients
250g caster sugar
80g golden syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
100g dark chocolate
Method
On a low heat, add the sugar and golden syrup into a saucepan and allow to melt
Once the sugar has completely melted, increase to a medium heat to allow it to thicken and create caramel
Remove from the heat and quickly add in the ginger, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda and whisk quickly so it doubles in size
Add onto a oven tray lined with baking paper and slightly spread out
Drizzle with melted dark chocolate and top with mini gingerbread chocolates for decoration
Refridgerate for 20-30 minutes and then break up to serve
