Marbled White Chocolate Strawberries

These fun and delicious marbled strawberries are coated in white chocolate and are a simple gift or dessert idea ahead of Valentine’s Day!


Ingredients


Punnet of strawberries

300g white chocolate

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tsp red or pink food colouring

Decoration of choice


Method


- Add the white chocolate into a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring thoroughly until fully melted

- Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil into the melted chocolate and mix until smooth

- Add a skewer into the top of each strawberry to make it easier to dip

- Drizzle a teaspoon of red food dye into the melted white chocolate and swirl a skewer gently around to create a marble effect - Fully dip each strawberry into the white chocolate holding the skewer, twisting and turning when lifting up to create a marbled pattern

- Allow the excess white chocolate to drip off and place on grease proof paper

- Add the sugar hearts, or any chosen decoration on top of the of strawberries

- Refrigerate the coated strawberries until they harden, at least 15 minutes
