This stuffing wreath looks so impressive but is actually incredibly simple to make - filled with stuffing, apple, honey and pork and wrapped in streaky bacon, it is the perfect festive centre piece.
Ingredients
16 rashers of streaky bacon
8 sausages, de-skinned
350g dried stuffing
400ml hot water
400ml apple cider
1 apple, finely diced
Drizzle of honey
Fresh thyme
Pinch of sea salt
1 tbsp white sesame seeds
Method
Preheat the oven to gas mark 5 / 190 degrees
In a large bowl, add the stuffing, water and cider
Mix together and leave aside for 3-5 minutes until the stuffing has soaked up the liquid
Add in the sausage meat, honey, fresh herbs, diced apple and a pinch of sea salt and mix together
Spoon the mixture onto a lined baking tray into the shape of a wreath and using your hands smooth the stuffing together
Top with streaky bacon, wrapping it around the wreath
Using a basting brush, coat the top of the wreath in the remaining of your cider and finish with white sesame seeds
Cook in the oven for 45-50 minutes until completely cooked
