Prosciutto, Jammy Egg and Herb Butter Toast

You are going to want to save this dreamy brunch recipe ready for the weekend. Fresh sourdough with garlic cream cheese, crispy prosciutto and a delicious herb butter.

Ingredients


Sourdough

Olive Oil

3 tbsp cream cheese

1 garlic clove, minced

4 slices of prosciutto

2 eggs 3 tbsp butter

1 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp dried parsley


Method


- Place the prosciutto on a baking tray and cook for 6-8 minutes in the oven on 180 degrees until crispy

- Place a skillet onto a medium heat and a add knob of butter

- Once melted, fry a slice of the sourdough bread both sides until crispy and golden brown

- Remove the bread from the skillet and add in both the eggs

- Fry for 3-4 minutes until cooked but the yolk is still runny

- For the garlic cream cheese, add the garlic, cream cheese and black pepper into a bowl and whisk until combined

- Add the butter, red pepper flakes and parsley to a hot skillet and mix until the butter has melted

- Spread the garlic cream cheese over a slice of the sourdough bread and top with the crispy prosciutto and the jammy fried egg

- Finish with the delicious herb butter drizzled over the top
