These delicious Chinese style king prawns are served with rice, sesame seeds, red chillies and limes. It is a simple recipe which takes just minutes to create yet full of flavour.
Ingredients
250g prepared king prawns
1 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp smoked paprika
3 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 tsp rice wine vinegar
Spring onions, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes and red chillis to serve
Method
- Pat dry your king prawns using kitchen paper and place into a bowl
- Sprinkle over cornflour and paprika and mix until all the king prawns are coated
- Place a skillet on a medium heat and add in a drizzle of sesame oil
- Once hot, add in the king prawns and fry for 2-3 minutes until pink
- To make the sauce, combine the soy sauce, sweet chilli, honey, garlic clove and rice wine vinegar into a bowl and mix
- Reduce the heat of the skillet and drizzle the sauce over the prawns, adding in chopped spring onions and chillies if desired
- Simmer gently for 1 minute
- Serve the king prawns with sticky white rice and top with sesame seeds, chillies, spring onions and red pepper flakes
